Fast-Track GST Registration Process

The simplified process aims to grant the GST Identification Number (GSTIN) within three working days from the date of Application Reference Number (ARN) generation, provided the automated system does not flag the application for risk.

Step 1: Prepare Documents and Initiate Registration (Part A)

  1. Gather all required documents (listed below) and ensure you have clear, digital copies ready for upload.
  2. Visit the official GST portal at www.gst.gov.in.
  3. Click on Services > Registration > New Registration.
  4. Fill out Part A of Form GST REG-01 with your PAN, mobile number, and email ID.
  5. Verify the contact details using the OTPs sent to your mobile and email.
  6. Upon verification, you will receive a Temporary Reference Number (TRN).

Step 2: Complete Application Submission (Part B)

  1. Log in to the GST portal using the TRN.
  2. Fill out Part B of Form GST REG-01, providing detailed information, including:
    • Business details (Constitution of business, etc.).
    • Principal place of business and supporting address proof.
    • Details of promoters/partners and authorized signatories.
    • List of goods and services (HSN/SAC codes).
    • Bank account details (required now, or must be updated later within 30 days of registration grant).
  3. Upload the necessary supporting documents.

Step 3: Aadhaar Authentication and Submission

  1. Select the Aadhaar Authentication option (AA). For the fast-track approval, Aadhaar authentication of the primary authorized signatory and at least one promoter/partner is mandatory.
  2. Complete the authentication via OTP or biometric verification (if required, at a designated GST Suvidha Kendra).
  3. Verify and submit the application using an Electronic Verification Code (EVC) sent to the registered mobile/email or a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) (mandatory for companies/LLPs).

Step 4: Automated Approval

  • The GST system performs real-time PAN and Aadhaar verification and an AI-powered risk assessment.
  • If all verifications are positive and the application is not flagged as high-risk, the GSTIN will be issued digitally within three working days.
  • You will receive the registration confirmation and the digitally signed certificate (Form GST REG-06) via email/SMS, which can then be downloaded from the portal.
